Sometimes I have too many things to write but I could not type it because the contents will make some people hurt.

I gained many things from the language itself to technology skills. I can insert videos to my blog.

13th Week+ 14th Week

Assalamualaikum and Hi to all my readers.
This is my special edition post, 2 in 1.

As not so many things need to be done in this 13 and 14 week of this course [as we all know, the course comes toward to the end already…] as most of the major tasks/assignments already been passed up last few weeks and for this weeks Pn Foziah gave us the opportunity to add on extra tasks for the 2nd assignment and few days extension for the 3rd assignment. I am very sure that most of cohort 4 [I would say the entire cohort 4] was very pleased due to the extension.

Even though we need to add on few brochures that explain about our teaching aids in details [the title, target audience, teaching aids etc], but it’s nothing much to do compared to the hard work given to complete the assignments given.

I learnt to accept and respects others point of view in order to complete the assignment. We discuss together and divided the task for each and every one of us to complete it. But for sure, we still need to discuss to make sure that every one of us understands of what need to be done in order to produce a good piece of work.

In completing these 2 major assignments, it makes me feel a sense of community and belongings to my group, which I love to be in group to complete the task. Lots of ideas and opinion can be gathered as each and every one of us will have our very own point of view. Thus, it helps to make the assignment more successful compared when I am doing it alone by my self. This can be the opportunity to me to perform my best and not disappointing my group members.

12th Week

As for this week, Puan Foziah showed us some of our friends' video in the Tuesday class.

11th Week

Hi everyone,

How was your Raya? Mine was very good. I got duit raya. I visited some of my siblings. There were also open houses to be visited.

This week, the Tuesday's class joined my class. This was because she was on-leave on that day. So she asked the Tuesday's class to come and join my class. That was the first time the whole cohort gathered in one classroom. She told us that there were 2 more assignments that needed to be submitted. I was shocked because I did not realize it. So I checked the information and YES there were 2 more assignments.

10th Week

Assalamualaikum everyone,

This was the last week before we celebrate Hari Raya. Actually, I did not to the class because I already went back to my hometown. This was due to the sold-out tickets.

According to my friends, there was no task for this week but we had to continue working on our video. I felt so lucky because I already finished my draft. The only thing that was not accomplish was the shooting of the video.

I am so sorry because not attending the class. Selamat Hari Raya.Maaf zahir & Batin.

9th Week

Assalamualaikum everyone,

For this week, we are asked to produce a short-video. This task required us to use proper software to make the video. We were doing the video in pair. So, my lucky partner was Siti Nurbadariah.

Firstly, we drew the outline of the video. It was like the story line of a story. So, we decided to produce a video themed 'Hardwork'. The story started with Ahamd, a young boy who had no money. One day, he wanted to buy a gift for his beloved person in his life. He worked hard to earn money. He helped his friends. At last, he managed to buy the thing that he wanted for his beloved person.

So, that was my story line. We were given a month to produce this video.Hopefully I will get things done.

8th Week

Hi,

As for this week, we had to hand in our tasks that had been given by Puan Foziah during her previous lesson. There are 3 components that we need to submit. They are audio editing, photo editing and e-book. I managed to osubmit all the 3 components.

During the class hour, Puan Foziah asked us to present something based on the text book. Actually, we need to send it to her e-mail. We did the slides and sent it to her. Actually, the class was based on the group discussion as we were working together to finish the slides.

7th Week

Hi,

During this week, we had been given several tasks by Puan Foziah. They were the audio editing, photo editing (tutorial ) and e-book. We need to compile them in one cd. She gave us one week to finish the tasks.

During the class, the topic for that week was 'Audio Editing'. Firstly, she showed us some korean songs. I felt so fresh when I listened to the song. What a nice song. But, I did not remember the title of the song. There are some audio editing softwares that we can use such as Audacity and Sony Vegas. We can download it from the internet. When editing the audio, we can put in the effects such as fade in , fade out and many more.

6th Week

Hello dan selamat berpuasa,

OK, for this week, Puan Foziah taught us about e-book. What is e-book? For me, e-book is digital book. I usually found books in store, but this time, Puan Foziah taught us to create an e-book. It was based on a story in a power point. So, I created a story and 'pasted' it on power point. It will become like moving from one slide to another slide. E-book can be a guidance or tools to teach children. They will be more interested in learning if we use e-book because it is colourful and we can insert sound to make it more interesting.

Actually, it was a good skill for me because it was new to me. I havent heard about e-book before. When it was introduced by Puan Foziah, I was so interested.

I hope that I will be able to produce a good e-book in the future to help the next 'digital' generation. The future generation will be more advanced than today;s generation. I will show you my e-book here if I can upload it. Then, you can comment on my work.

5th Week

Hello

As for this week, I was shocked to hear that Pn Foziah was sick because of food poisoning i guess. Pity her. But, she still came to the class and taught us.

That day, she taught us how to use FX Foto. It is a software where we can edit our photo. She taught us how to crop, how to remove blemish and many more. This was my 1st time using this FXFoto because before this I used Photoscape. And this FXFoto seemed very new to me.

There were some tutorials that we needed to do. We had to crop, we had to insert frames and some more. What I like most with this FXFoto is that it can remove blemish. Remove blemish means we can edit our face and put away all those dirty things on our face. Although there is this feature in other software, but i think te one in FXFoto is better. I am still trying to get to know FXFoto and I hope I can master it well.

4th Week

Hello

Ok, now lets talk about my fourth week of resources class. Actually, at that period of time, Pn Foziah asked us to continue doing our tutorials. The examples of the tutorials are searching for pdf. file, searching for mp3 file and searching for picture. The 1st one hour everything went fine. I were doing my stuff and suddenly the internet connection went down. I cannot use the internet for the next hours. I was very dissapointed because my aim was to finish at least 2 or 3 tutorials before leaving the class so that it will not burden me in the future.

Because of losing internet connection, so Pn Foziah asked us to do our own works because she cannot teach because the internet was not working. So I did my own work and at the same time she went around the class to mingle with the students. That was one of the ways for the teacher to get to know the students. I definitely going to use the same approach as hers in the future to get to know my future pupils. Actually, from my point of view, when you mingle with someone, it will help to release the tension between both parties. In addition, it will make both parties become more tight in term of the relationship.

I think thats all for now. Cant wait to enter the class this Thursday.

3rd Week

Hello everyone...
Today is my 3rd week with one motherly lecturer, the only Pn. Foziah..
Ok, this week she teaches us how to search for a mp3 file.

I learn new things today.
1st, search for the thing file that we want. For example, Michael Jackson last song. Type it on 'google' and click 'search'. Then, when the result is shown, search for the file that can be downloaded. Then we can donwload the file that we want.

2nd, I learn how to "print screen". Print screen is like you copy the whole page that exists on the monitor and then paste it in Microsoft Office or whatsoever. As for today, Pn. Foziah tells us to describe visually how to donwload the file, I mean the process of downloading it. I managed to do it very well as it is not that hard..thanks to Pn.Foziah for the help..

2nd Week

Assalamualaikum and salam sejahtera..

Ohoho second week of resources class. well, Pn.Foziah asked us to fill in some personal form about our familiarity with these ICT things. For me, I did not have much knowledge about ICT. I only knew to use a few programes in a computer such as the ms.word, internet explorer, and some other basic things.. Oh i need to focus in class and hopefully Pn. Foziah will teach me new things.

Secondly, she gave us some briefing on the assignments that need to be done and she also reminded us to update our blog. And I am here to update my blog.

Next, she gave us the sample of our seniors' assignment to help us in doing our assignments. I think thats all for now. I will update later.

This blog is one of the assignments that need to be done. I have to post a reflection for each week. The reflection must be related to the classroom, meaning that what have i learn in the class and something like that.

This is my 1st " Using and Developing resources for the ESL Classroom'.
As for today, Puan Foziah gave us the proforma of the course. Then, she asked us to send her our personal detail such us our name, IC, address and so on. Then, she asked us to create a blog so that we can do our reflections. Because this is an IT course, so we have to submit all the assignments online.

There are not much to talk about my 1st class as she gives the opportunity to us to explore this new thing.
